Jaak Laineste.
Two decades in location and movement data, from digital maps and mobile mapping to location intelligence and freight visibility.
I earned a master's degree in geoinformatics in 2003, then worked on geospatial products and digital maps at Regio / Reach-U.
In 2006, I completed an MBA in entrepreneurship and technology management and founded Nutiteq, which built an open-source mobile 3D map SDK and was later acquired. At CARTO, I moved into product leadership for location intelligence.
At Sixfold and Transporeon / Trimble, the same geospatial foundation continued in freight visibility, sustainability and logistics data platforms: objects, vehicles and goods moving through space and time.
Today I advise logistics and supply chain operators on where AI actually pays.
